October Meeting 2012

We had such a terrific day with Charly and Tilda from Ixchel Angora Bunny and Funky Fibre Art.

Our coathanger display was a huge success.  Members brought a coathanger with something they had made. It really brightened up the hall, and gave everyone something to look at while they enjoyed their tea or coffee and yummy morning tea.

Tilda was a very patient and calm bunny as Charly explained how to remove fibre from an Angora Rabbit.

Charly talked about the Navajo-Churro sheep.  For more information about this interesting breed, see the Navajo-Churro Sheep Association and the Navajo Sheep Project

After Tilda had a haircut, we had the chance to drool over and purchase some of the fantastic skeins of fibre which Charly brought with her.  (Luckily for some of us, Charly brought her portable eftpos machine with her.)

We hope you all enjoyed the day. Thank you to all our visitors who came along to be with us today, we love to be able to share our love of fibre with others. A big thankyou to Charly and Tilda who came to visit us and gave us so much information about Angora Bunnies, Navajo-Churro Sheep, and so much more. Thank you!
